HOW DO ULTRASONIC DIFFUSERS WORK?
These are the latest in essential oil diffusers, and they are quite fashionable at the moment. It is a “hybrid” device which diffuses essential oils and water vapor at the same time (like an air humidifier).
The principle of ultrasonic diffusers is as follows: they include a reservoir that is filled with water + a few drops of essential oils. A vibrating surface activated by ultrasound (frequency > 20,000 Hz, inaudible) "atomizes" into very fine droplets the water + essential oil mixture which then escapes from the device in the form of a light mist.

Purists and fans of aromatherapy will prefer nebulizing diffusers of pure essential oils which are undoubtedly more efficient from an aromatherapeutic point of view (to optimize the therapeutic properties of essential oils).
