Organic Lime Essential Oil
Also called lime or lime essential oil, lime essential oil is, like lemon, essential in olfactotherapy for its soothing properties . Its fragrance is used in many perfumes, as a lemony and fruity top note, for both men's and women's perfumes.
Like many citrus fruits, the fragrance of lime in olfactotherapy is slightly soothing and reduces stress and anxiety. It acts in synergy with essential oils such as Roman chamomile, shell marjoram and true lavender. Rich in limonene, lime essential oil also contains a very small amount of furocoumarins, which makes it photosensitizing. When applied to the skin, this essential oil must always be diluted in a vegetable oil so as not to irritate the skin.
