Where does stress come from?

Fine lavender or true lavender can be recognized by its irregular stems and its purple flowers grouped in short spikes. Found in the wild in the mountains of southern France, it produces an essential oil with exceptional properties, particularly for relaxing the mind and easing tension.

1 - The benefits of fine lavender oil against stress

Used since ancient times for its antiseptic and soothing properties, fine lavender (lavandula officinalis) is particularly appreciated for its sweet and characteristic smell. Its extremely versatile essential oil is very well tolerated by all skin types. Calming, sedative and purifying, it is recognized as particularly effective in regulating the nervous system and calming anxiety and insomnia.


2 - How does fine lavender essential oil act on stress?

Fine lavender essential oil is renowned for its anti-stress effect, particularly when used olfactorily. In question, its main component, linalool. A true mood regulator, it is also capable of reducing anxiety, promoting attention, reducing the time it takes to fall asleep and increasing the duration of sleep. In addition, its action is potentiated by another of the components of fine lavender essential oil, linalyl acetate, which helps limit tension due to stress.


How to use fine lavender for stress?

Fine lavender essential oil is a must in natural cosmetics. Particularly effective in diffusion and inhalation, it can also be used orally or cutaneously to treat stress, depression and anxiety.

Stress - Oral use

SOS stress: simple, effective and quick

Adult: 2 drops, 3 times a day, for 7 days.
Child: 1 drop, 3 times a day, for 7 days.

    To swallow mixed in a spoonful of honey or on a small piece of bread.


    Anti-stress capsules

    In capsules, to be prepared by the pharmacist:

    • 20 mg of garden marjoram essential oil
    • 20 mg of lavender essential oil
    • 10 mg of lemon verbena essential oil
    • 10 mg of tangerine essential oil
    • 1 excipient capsule

    1 capsule to swallow, morning, noon and evening, for 10 days.

    Stress - Dermal use

    Pure directly on the skin to relax

    3 pure drops, on the solar plexus, the nape of the neck, the temples, the elbow crease and under the arch of the foot. Diluted to 20% in a vegetable oil for a massage, 3 times a day.

      Relaxing massage against stress and nervousness

      Mix :

      • 1 drop of fine lavender essential oil
      • 1 drop of Roman chamomile essential oil
      • 1 drop of garden marjoram essential oil
      • ¼ teaspoon sweet almond vegetable oil

      Apply to the solar plexus, the inside of the wrists, along the spine and under the arch of the foot, twice a day.

      In the bath for a relaxing and soothing effect

      15 drops of fine lavender essential oil diluted in a teaspoon of a vegetable oil of your choice, to pour into the bath for a relaxing and soothing effect.

        Stress - Broadcast use

        Relaxation and deep sleep

        Place 1 ml of fine lavender in a diffuser, to breathe during the day, to soothe yourself before falling asleep.

          Relaxation and harmony of the mind

          In the diffuser, pour a mixture of 10 drops of lavender essential oil, sweet orange essential oil, ylan-ylang essential oil and petitgrain bigarade essential oil. Diffuse for ½ hour morning and evening in the living rooms.

            Other essential oils useful in cases of stress

            • Petitgrain bigarade essential oil: extracted from the leaves of bitter orange, it is known for its relaxing and soothing emotional and emotional properties.
            • Ylang-ylang essential oil: calming and anxiolytic thanks to its content of sesquiterpenes, esters and linalool, it is particularly effective in stressful situations.
            • Shell marjoram essential oil: ideal for relieving anxiety and helping you fall asleep.
